The teether that can’t be dropped.
Young babies often start teething before they can hold a teether. The result is a toy that hits the floor every 30 seconds, followed by a lot of frustrated chewing on their own fists. The Munch Mitt solves that. It’s a soft teething mitten with a food-grade silicone teether built in, and it fastens around baby’s wrist so relief is always within reach.
Invented by a mom and winner of a JPMA Innovation Award, the Munch Mitt has been helping teething babies and tired parents since 2015.
Why parents love it
- Stays on, stays clean. The adjustable hook-and-loop strap keeps the mitt on baby’s hand, so there’s no more rinsing a teether that fell on the floor.
- Made for babies still learning to grip. It’s ideal from about 3 to 7 months, when teething often starts but grasping hasn’t caught up yet.
- Soothes sore gums. Textured, 100% food-grade silicone gives baby something safe to chew and massage gums with.
- Protects little hands. Baby chews the mitt instead of their fingers and knuckles, which helps prevent the red, chapped skin that constant drool and chewing can cause.
- Sensory play built in. A crinkle sound, a high-contrast pattern and bright colours engage baby’s hearing, sight and touch.
- Fits either hand. Flip it over so the silicone thumb sits on the side of baby’s thumb.
- Easy to clean. It’s machine washable, so you can toss it in with baby’s laundry.
-
Safe materials. Malarkey Kids products undergo third-party testing against applicable safety requirements in several international markets, including:

-
European Union: EN 71 toy safety standards and REACH chemical safety requirements.
-
Australia/New Zealand: AS/NZS ISO 8124 toy safety standards and applicable Australian chemical restrictions.
-
United States: California Proposition 65 and applicable FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 material safety testing.
-
Additional Testing: BPA, heavy metals, flammability, choking hazards, mechanical durability, formaldehyde and colourfastness, where applicable.
-
How to use
- Turn the mitt so the silicone thumb faces baby’s mouth.
- Slide it over baby’s hand.
- Fasten the strap snugly around baby’s wrist or forearm. It should be secure but not too tight. You should be able to slip a finger underneath.
- To switch hands, flip the mitt over.
Always supervise baby while using the Munch Mitt. Inspect it before each use and stop using it if the silicone or fabric shows any wear or damage.
Care
Machine wash on a gentle cycle in warm or cold water. Tumble dry low or air dry.
